Principal
Nehru Smarka Vidyalaya

Dear All,

Steve Jobs  once said, ‘Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower,’ and that statement has never been more meaningful than it is today. ‘Innovate or perish’ is not only a reminder to the business sector, but a wakeup call to the educational fraternity as well.

In this age of rapid transformation, where human life is being influenced by phenomenal changes all round, education remains ‘unaffected’, unfortunately. It’s high time our schools focus on creating ‘the change makers of tomorrow’, by developing in our schools “a culture of innovation, based on collaboration, interdisciplinary problem solving and intrinsic motivation”.

AtNehru Smarka Vidyalaya we strive to provide an education that meets the needs of all children. We offer a wide and varied curriculum taught by enthusiastic, talented staff. We acknowledge that academic success is not something all students find easy; however our goal is to have all our students realize their potential. With this in mind, we endeavour to provide programmes that meet the needs of all individuals.

At all times students at NSV are encouraged to think positively about what they have achieved.  This climate ensures students feel good about themselves and celebrate not only their own, but, the achievements of others. This attitude is reinforced by the school’s “Steps for Success,” which is our curriculum and underpins everything we do.

When appointing staff, our highest priority is to find teachers who have a passion for teaching and who love working with children.  This is because we believe children need to feel safe, happy and valued by their teachers, before quality learning can take place. Education is not all about what the learners know, or need to know, it is more about preparing them to do what they need to do with what they know.

We promote the philosophy that academic success is not enough to meet the needs of today’s students. We encourage involvement in sport and the arts, because we firmly believe students in today’s world need skills to express themselves, be it on the sports field or through music and drama.

We are extremely lucky to have a spacious attractive environment. In fact we believe our infrastructure and facilities are the best in the city to meet children’s intellectual and physical needs.

ACHIEVEMENTS

ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE YEAR 2018-19

GUIDE TO ENROLMENT

Nehru Smarka Vidyalaya offers a high-quality educational experience and nurturing environment that fosters sharp learning skills. We are proud of the calibre of our staff and the work that they do; we are even prouder of the students with whom we work day to day.

At NSV we have strived to make our admission process as simple as possible to ensure that all prospective parents enjoy a stress-free admission experience.

Step 1: Registration

Parents may download the Registration form online by clicking here (Download Application Form ). Once the form is filled, submit the Registration Form from this link or visit the school Admin. Office. Our counsellor will get back to you to answer your questions and collect the required information. Registration, however does not guarantee admission.

Step 2: Admission Enquiry

The Admin. Office will give detailed information about the school, methodology, facilities, fee structure and assist you with the admission procedure followed by a campus tour.

Step 3: Application Form

Application forms for admission in the academic year 2020-21 will be issued at our Administrative Office. Parents can contact the Administrative Office to collect the forms by paying the requisite fee.

The following documents (only Xerox copies) need to be submitted along with the Application form

  • Marks Card

  • Transfer Certificate

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • Migration certificate (if applicable)

  • Birth Certificate

  • 2 recent passport size photos of the parents and the student

  • Adhar cards

  • Transfer certificate (Original)

Step 4: Assessment and Interaction

Students will go through a short placement test in specific subjects like English, Mathematics and Science, aimed at evaluating grade appropriate academic competence. Parents and students are required to meet the principal after the assessment. Admission is completed only after completing all formalities including payment of fees.

IMPRESSIONS

Chandrashekar
BIA – CBSE

My two children are studying in BIA. One is in 10th std and another one is in 4th std. BIA CBSE wing is an amazing school and I would highly recommend it. The teachers are very professional, caring and well organized. The admissions process was outstanding. They really care and truly want the best for your child. Everyday my children are looking forward to coming to school. They very much enjoy their time in school and learning new things each and every day.

MADHU REDDY
BIA – CBSE

“We have two children experiencing BIA education. One is currently in 8 th grade and the another one in 6th . BIA has provided a safe and comfortable environment for our children to learn and develop. The curriculum encourages independent as well as team learning experiences, allowing the children to develop skills in these areas that are critical in further education and the work environment.”
“There are so many wonderful things to say about BIA. It is so much more than an ordinary school. I have been here a long time, and have seen many things over the last 9 years. I watch a school community that never stops striving for excellence in every way. I witness a school filled with teachers that give 100% of themselves and then some. They give countless additional hours after school to lend a hand to a student in need, a parent, or to just make an extracurricular activity extra special. They do it so willingly! Our principal is never too busy to sit down and discuss anything that is on your mind, whether a concern you have with your child, suggestion or idea you may have, or just a simple question you need an answer print He genuinely listens, and cares. His presence is felt throughout the school.”
“Our daughters attend BIA and we have been very impressed. There is a strong sense of community and everyone makes you feel like family when you walk through the door. When I drop my son off at school, he is greeted by name, which is very welcoming. We also appreciate the excellent communication, including newsletters, updates on the websites, prompt responses, and phone messages with reminders from the principal. The academics and use of technology are also wonderful!”
“BIA has been our partner in parenting and educating our children. The values that are important to us are reflected in our school family. We are blessed to belong to the BIA community.”

Dr Uma M
Parent of Lokaveer A, (Class XII 'G')

Nehru Smaraka Vidyalaya has a great team of friendly, dedicated and experienced educators who have provided a nurturing and conducive environment. An atmosphere where children would be free to express and experiment with their ideas and thoughts as well as show case and develop their skills without the fear of retribution or failure.
The high standards maintained, coupled with the individual attention afforded to students are remarkable. Apart from the academic advancement, students enrolled at the NSVK have the advantage of interacting with various cultures which definitely aid in their all-round development to become world class leaders, capable of leading the world to a brighter future, where excellence eliminates the focus on creed, nationality, religion and caste.
Another attraction of NSVK is the well-practiced parent-teacher/school interaction and feedback.
Thank you for giving our children the opportunity to become what they are. Looking forward to seeing more great stars shine from this academic institute.

Sourav Ghosh
BIA – CBSE

Coming in as a 11th grader, I found myself in a new place. However, with the presence of excellent teachers and friends, this new place became a place no less than home for me.
I cannot describe the friendliness of the teachers, who kept motivating us regarding our studies. The support staff of the school is amazing, and help in the functioning of the school. The management is also efficient and flexible.
Our Principal sir is very kind and experienced, and one never leaves his cabin disappointed.
Overall, I'd like to mention that the 2 years I've spent as a student of Nehru Smaraka Vidyalaya has been great, and I'd never forget about it through my lifetime.

Vinayaka Shastri
BIA – CBSE

We chose "Nehru Smaraka Vidyalaya (CBSE)" two years ago for my Son to get admitted to CBSE 11th Std PCMC stream. This is a great place, where students are imparted excellent academic and extracurricular coaching. All students are treated equally and with respect. This school has excellent Lab facilities and Infrastructure that facilitates students to learn and experiment.
This school has a great team of friendly, dedicated and experienced educators who have provided my son a nurturing and conducive environment to learn. We feel that the warm, caring ethos of the school suited my child’s personalities and helped to bring out the best in him. I commend the effort put in by the teachers in giving timely, valuable feedback and suggestions that are quintessential for the students to take up competitive and Board Exams. The school has consistently shown excellent results in Board Exams, year after year. Kudos to the school management and the teachers for their unstinting support always.

Dr. Ravishankar Bhat and Ushakiran Bhat
Parents of Shreekrishna Bhat

We took admission for our son Shreekrishna Bhat for CBSE 11th Standard. During the last two years, Krishna has really enjoyed School and grown into more responsible, learned, focused and disciplined person. Excellent education is given to students in BIA, along with very good infrastructure needed for CBSE Science stream. The students receive effective feedback from their teachers after every test about how to correct their mistakes and improve in future. All teachers could be approached freely whenever the student is in need. Regular feedback sessions, Convenient Fee structure, Cooperative non-teaching staff are other high lights. We observed excellent organization from the Staff during CBSE data verification and updation.
Shreekrishna Bhat is aiming to do higher studies in Computer Science. He received necessary guidance, encouragement and support from the School Principal Anil Kumar Sir, Previous Vice Principal Pranita Dugar Madam, Class Teacher and Computer Science HOD Kopal Agarwal Madam, Physics HOD Jaya Prakash Sir and other teachers during the last two years, for which we are thankful.

Vinay
